Staying engaged with local communities and maintaining a vibrant social life has become harder than ever. But, for many of us, it’s also become even more important for our emotional and mental health, as we’re confined to our homes.
Fortunately, Los Angeles organizations, citizens, and institutions have come together to provide meaningful and entertaining online experiences.

Daybreaker LIVE

Daybreaker is an organization that throws early morning, before-work dance parties—unlike any other party you’ve ever been to. Attendees do one hour of movement, followed by two hours of epic dancing. There’s no alcohol served, encouraging attendees to let loose without it.
Now, the organization has moved its parties online, with participants tuning in from all around the globe. The upcoming event on May 2 will feature Latin-inspired music. From 9 am to 11 am PST, you’ll dance along to Latin music. Then, the event concludes with an hour-long “meditation and intention ceremony.”
Deep Talk: Building Resiliency Workshop

This event is a virtual workshop for those seeking ways to build emotional resiliency, especially related to recent upheavals due to the pandemic.
Part presentation, part intimate conversation, and part movement class, you’ll learn tools and mindsets shifts for how to be more effective at handling your emotions. Taught by Los Angeles life coach and breathwork teacher Mandy Sciacchitano.

Virtual Conversation: Career and Life Pivots
