Living close to one of the country’s best wine regions has its advantages, and LA has some amazing wine shops to choose from. These are some of our favorite wine shops in the greater Los Angeles area.
DomaineLA is located on Melrose and specializes in what the owners call “honest wines.” Shopowner Jill Bernheimer used to be a film producer and jokes that the industry drove her to drink. The shop sells wines made by people, not corporations, which leads to an eclectic and interesting selection of wines.
Silverlake Wine on Glendale is another favorite wine shop. Visit the store on a Thursday night for $15 flights of wine and enjoy a taco from the food truck parked outside the shop. And, if you can’t make it into the store, Silverlake offers same-day delivery to the greater LA area!
If you want to learn more about wine, Lou Wine Shop & Tastings in Los Feliz offers thematic tastings three times a week. These tastings frequently feature a visiting winemaker or importer to answer your questions and guide you through the tasting.
Winehouse‘s enormous 18,000 square foot facility means you will be able to find almost any wine or wine-related accessory you could ever want. They also offer extensive wine classes, from beginner to advanced skills.
Visit Wally’s on Westward in LA for one-stop shopping for your next party. Have the knowledgeable staff help you choose the perfect wine and pair it with an assortment of fresh cheeses also available in-store. Wally’s is also a great place to pick up a holiday gift basket they are sure to love.
